How is mentor training with Esali Birth different than all the other certifying agencies?
1. I believe humans, from birthing families to those that support them, have the innate ability to do so. Our distance education training keeps that in mind. You set the pace. You receive information, literature, all the guides needed - but it’s YOUR business. You don't need to keep paying me annual fees for a title that.... well... 2. "Certifications" aren't necessary to educate and support others. Training is training. It's like going to college or any other training course. You have the knowledge – use it… it doesn’t go away when you stop your annual membership. The U.S. doesn't recognize or require a "certification." Course Completion certificates are amazing, and Esali Birth provides that... and that's all any other "certification" agency is - because certifications aren't regulated by any overseeing body (gosh, I hope they never are or our maternity industry will really be in more of a crisis than it already is). Likewise, the information within Is incredibly comprehensive in lieu of or on top of any other certification process because…
3. Holistic and information-packed knowledge. There are some organizations geared towards hospital education, and others geared towards feel-good-knowledge-causes-guilt education. Esali Birth is NOT either. Information promotes, first, basic understanding of biology and the butterfly effect of choices – all the choices from unattended independent birth through fully assisted birth. From providing basic herbal awareness to our mentors and nutrition guidance to covering ALL phases of the childbearing years - you can't separate the knowledge of this phase of life. While some people may choose to focus on one area, the knowledge must be fluid because each person will, at some point in one way or another, connect with the next phase of the childbearing year. It's better when we don't have to refer out for each step, and it's better when we understand the connection between each life stage.
